Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group led the Greater Ellettsville Area Chamber of Commerce and Ellettsville Main Street Inc. through a visioning process to establish a clear identity and long-term vision for the community. The Envision Ellettsville Vision Plan will incorporate community input and align various efforts identified within the Ellettsville Comprehensive Plan and the Monroe County Quality of Place and Workforce Attraction Plan.

With a strong desire to be a desirable, independent community, one of the primary goals of this process was to build an understanding of how Ellettsville fits into the larger Monroe County community and how they can differentiate themselves from the region. This visioning process encouraged residents, business owners, and local leaders to envision Ellettsville as a great place to live while also being a great place for businesses, recreation, and entertainment. The planning process included a large community outreach component, including the creation of a project specific website, digital outreach materials, community meetings as well as an active Advisory Group. The final plan outlined a shared vision that identified specific areas of focus, as well as articulated strategic project and program recommendations as key action step items for the community.

The plan received the 2023 Outstanding Plan Honorable Mention Award from the Indiana Chapter of the American Planning Association.
